Sterilization
Our team members respect all of the appropriate dental clinic hygiene and disinfection standards. The rigorous measures of the Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures (OSAP) and the Ordre des dentistes du Québec (ODQ) are meticulously followed.
FOR THE CLEANING
AND STERILIZATION OF OUR
MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS,
WE PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
- For disinfection, our medical instruments are placed in the Miele thermodisinfector for dental use. This device is approved as a medical device by Health Canada.
- After disinfection, instruments are packed in metal cassettes or sealed in bags to maintain aseptic conditions.
- Instruments are then placed in sterilizers such as LISA Class B and Statim.
- Finally, the instruments are stored in the blue sterile cabinets, where they remain packaged until needed for dental care.
WE WORK WITH AN INDEPENDENT MICROBIOLOGICAL LABORATORY
to test our sterilizers regularly and ensure they are working properly.
